A Throwback of Past Thanksgivings

Happy early Thanksgiving everyone!

I wanted to pop in real quick and do a throwback to previous Thanksgiving posts I've written.  I thought it would be a fun way to reflect, so here are a few of my favorites:

- One of my all time favorite Thanksgiving posts is my Thanksgiving Menus By State post where I share our traditional family menu.  Writing it all down and reading the comments was really an eye opener to how different some of our food in Louisiana and the deep south is (Thanksgiving can't go on without the gumbo and mirliton)!  So tell me, what's on your family's Thanksgiving menu?  Does ours sound strange to you?

- With the exception of last year, my previous two Thanksgivings were celebrated away from my family for the first time.  I was nervous the first time around, but I learned how to survive Thanksgiving away from family and got to attend the Macy's Thanksgiving parade, so it wasn't so bad!

- While living up north, both Thanksgivings were celebrated in New York City.  If you've ever wondered what it's like to partake in the Black Friday shopping shenanigans around NYC and THE Macy's, my Thanksgiving in New York City post pretty much sums it up!

I hope you enjoy the holiday with all the food and laughter you ever wanted!

Oh and PS- I'll be back with a special Black Friday sale announcement for Bijoux Avenue!  If you've been wanting to gift some handmade boho, druzy, horn, and tassel necklaces this year, you won't want to miss this!
