2014 Christmas Wish List

Spending time with friends and family and seeing everyone happy and healthy is really all I need for Christmas.  Today Chris and I are hitting the road to Louisiana to spend Christmas at home for over a week and that's a lovely gift in itself.  While I'm thankful and content with everything I do have, every year I'm asked what I want for Christmas.  Saying nothing doesn't fly in this family of shopaholics and gift giving lovers, so I had to give a list.  Chris requests I pin stuff I like on Pinterest so he can know all the details of what I like and where to get it, so I put together a few of my favorites I've been eyeing lately.  Here's my Christmas wish list this year:

Michael Kors Sutton Satchel :: If you read this post or follow me on Instagram, this ones a no brainer.  I love the color of this bag because it goes with any season and the look is simple and chic that will never go out of style.

Kendra Scott Emmy Earrings :: These earrings are gorgeous and the color can go with just about anything.  I always stay with neutrals that can give me the most use and these babies will do just that!

Schwinn Clairmont Bike :: This has been on my wish list for a while now.  I almost went home with it once, but the floor models were in too bad of shape, so I passed.  Now it's completely sold out (again) so it doesn't look like I'll be getting it anytime soon, but I'll keep my fingers crossed!  Maybe for my birthday!?  Dallas has so many great riding trails and I can't wait to take advantage of them, especially while it's cooler out!

Quilted Zip-Front Vest :: Add another sold out item to the list!  I bought this vest in black last year during Black Friday and I love it.

Threshold Gold Bar Cart :: So Santa may have already arrived with this one (thanks, Chris)!  He knew he wanted to get it for me, but knew there would be no way to get it back to Dallas if he gave it to me on Christmas morning in Louisiana, so he surprised me with it early.  Note to anyone with a small car that's considering brining this home:  you can't unscrew or break it down, the sides are soldered!

And that about sums up my Christmas wish list!  What's on your list this year!?

Why did you start a blog and what is your favorite thing about blogging?
I started my blog because working at a social sponsorship company. I spend my days finding blogs that would be a great fit for a campaign. Everyday, I am so inspired by all the amazing bloggers out there and I kept thinking to myself “I can do this”. I had been talking about starting a blog for a while because I have a huge passion for writing and then one day I just decided to take the plunge. It’s been an awesome journey since.

If you had to pick a favorite post of yours, which would it be?
Oh gosh, this one is I hard. I like to think that I love all my posts but a few do stick out from the rest. Lately, I started hosting my own throwback travel Thursday linkup with The Rachael Way so any posts on that I love writing. But I also love writing blogging tips for other bloggers. I think I’m in a unique situation where I work so much with bloggers and I see what can help grow a blog and I genuinely want to help others.

You love to travel and have been to so many places, can you pick a favorite?
It’s definitely between Greece and Alaska. These were two of my favorite vacations and I went on them back to back. For my graduation present from college my parents took my brother and I on an Alaskan cruise and then two days later I went to Greece with my aunt. Two completely different worlds but I loved them both for their own unique reasons.

What's your favorite quote you live by?
My favorite quote actually inspired the name of my blog. I love the quote “Not all those who wander are lost” by J.R.R. Tolkien. I think that society has a perception that if you don’t have a set plan for your life than you are a failure. But I believe that just because you may not have all the answers on how you want to live your life simply means that you are wandering. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I think I would have to live somewhere that I understood the language. I studied Spanish for three years and it never clicked so I would hate to live in a country that I couldn’t communicate with the people. This is why I think my best bet would be somewhere in Europe like England. I actually traveled there in high school and loved it. Plus, I adore Kate Middleton so that a huge bonus ;)
