So this post has been sitting in my drafts for almost two weeks now. To be honest, I wanted to post it, but then thought I may regret coming out and saying this, so I decided I would give it some more time to see, if maybe, hopefully, my feelings would change. They haven't, so I guess I'm going to have to say it...
I have a confession to make. In fact, I can't even believe I'm about to say what I'm about say, and even more so, write it out loud for the whole world wide web to read on this blog. But here we are, so I'm just going to put this out there.
I like the new Taylor Swift 1989 album.
I know you're probably thinking, okay so do you and 1.68 million other people, but let me explain.
I've always been a hater; never a fan of any of her music. She bothered me, like a lot of pop music does, which is strange considering I'll listen to Top 40 stations daily, but I really only like a handful of songs ever played. I'm an EDM, Indie, and Rap person more than anything. Your typical Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus crap music just doesn't do it for me.
But this album? I like it.
Someone please explain this to me because I'm confused with myself.
I wouldn't go too far and say I'm now officially a fan and can't wait to see her live, but if all of her music from now on sounds like this album, then scratch what I just said. Maybe.
This one's to you, T Swift. My apologies for being a hater.
And I promise I won't roll my eyes at every blog post with a 1989 picture from now on.
