Birthdays, Best Friends, and All the Food

This weekend was one of those weekends that if I could do it over and over again, I would.  It was filled with hometown friends, beer, birthday celebrations, eating, and more eating.  That definitely beats a Monday in my book.
One :: Chris's birthday was last Thursday, so not only did he get a birthday week, he got a birthday weekend too.  Whoever said birthday weeks aren't allowed after you turn 21 obviously is missing out.

Two :: Chris's red velvet birthday cake and present was waiting on the table in front of the door way for him when he got home from work.  The look on his face was priceless.  What's in the bag you ask?  A Ninja blender! Because that's what old people do. They give each other blenders for their birthday.  I prefer to call it a margarita maker, because heyyy that's what we'll be using it for.

Three :: Parmesan truffle friends, margaritas, and greasy cheeseburgers from Hopdoddy Burger bar were enjoyed.  * Attention Dallas people: during their weekday happy hour, burgers are $2 off!

Four :: One of my best friend's came in town so like any Louisianian would do, we went to Dodie's, a New Orleans restaurant here in Dallas.  I couldn't hold back the urge for digging into some seafood, so I ordered boiled shrimp. Not pictured are the red beans and rice and crawfish monica!  I'd say the food was New Orleans girl approved!

How was your weekend!? I hope you had a good one!
