That Time I Went Skiing

I did it.  I'm alive.  I survived my first ski trip!  But to say I am in pain would be an understatement.  I was warned that I wouldn't be able to walk the next day, but when I got home last night, I didn't think it would be a big deal since I didn't feel any different.  Wrong.  When I woke up this morning it was a serious struggle to move my legs to get out of bed.  Let's not even talk about what it felt like to walk downstairs.

All pain aside, I had a blast and can't wait to go skiing again.  And the good news is I only fell once... when I thought it would be a good idea to ski down to the novice slope because I was ready, but in reality I didn't know how to stop as well as I had thought and took an intentional slide down rather than a face plant into the snow mobile I was currently headed towards.  Needless to say, I never made it off the bunny slope.  Maybe next time?

But hey, I was better than I had thought I would be.  Chris may say otherwise.  I'll leave it up to you to decide.

I do want to give it one more try before the season is over.  Hopefully next time I can make it to the novice slope without wiping out on the way there?  We'll see!

I had no idea how steep and straight down the harder slopes were.  It was seriously terrifying to look at and I wonder how in the world do people do it?  Seriously, props to you if you can.  I'm jealous because it looks so fun!
