Weekend Recap NYC Part 2

As promised, here's part 2 of the NYC trip!  If you missed part 1, you can read it here.  Since Friday and Saturday were spent at the concert all day and night, we decided to just walk around the city on Sunday.  I didn't really have anything planned since I've been to the NYC multiple times, have done most of the "touristy" things, and can easily go back whenever I want, so we decided to just wander around and take in the pretty views.

We started off in Brooklyn and walked around the Brooklyn Bridge park for a bit.  If you haven't been to this side of NYC yet, I highly recommend it!  It's just right across the river from Manhattan and you get the most perfect view of the city!

While we were there, the Dumbo Smorgasburg was going on, so we stopped to check out the many food vendors.  I ended up getting the pineapple lychee hibiscus tea and it was a-maz-ing!  Perfect for a hot summer day :)

We stopped by the 9/11 memorial site and it was so calming.  There are two huge memorial water falls right where the twin towers stood, inscribed with the victims' names.

After the 9/11 memorial, I realized we were right around the corner from Century 21!  I've heard MANY good things about it, so I couldn't resist stopping by.. and ohh my godd I am glad I did!  I've been on the lookout for a cute purse that would fit my DSLR camera, but that wasn't too big and could be used as a cross body bag as well.  I ended up getting this white one, which is the perfect size!  This was probably the best purchase I've made in a while.  I never take my DSLR with me on trips since it's so big and gets in the way, so hopefully now I will get more use out of the thing!

Not pictured are the six slices of pizza I ate this weekend.  There are pizza shops on every corner and I couldn't resist.  How do you New Yorkers do it!?

Well that about sums up my weekend!  And I am still exhausted.  Yesterday I literally felt like I was hungover all.day.long.  I could sleep for days.  And sadly, I didn't have one drink on Sunday.

Terrible, right?
